Re the Censorship laws proposal, as I understand the Internet,it is a great big Virtual Freeway and every one is free to use it, like most highways , people build Roadside Facilities for users, toilets, food fuel and rest places..We are free to use or not use.
Now think of a bank in a small out of the way town ,it is the repository of all the towns cash. Its safe there.
Then the Lawmakers decide to build a fast highway to connect this town ( call it Hollywood) . One day a car drives along this highway, stops for fuel and then for a snack and continues on way . He arrives at small Town, sees the Bank and decides he wants. What's in it, so he robs the Bank and is away before anyone. Has time to stop him . Fast highway ,not too much traffic . Escaped and richer. Now according to the present intended laws the Bank has the right to sue the fuel, food merchants and the road builder and the local government who financed it and maybe the hire car company or car builder/ seller..am I missing something here ?????????
By the way I agree with much of what you say in your articles. I read most of them( I use to just glance at headlines. It now read fully) . I am in Cambodia , it is freer here than in Australia . Keep writing
