Brave New War: An Interview with John Robb
Recently, thanks to the enabling wonders of Skype, I recorded an interview with author John Robb from his home in Massachusetts. Robb is the author of one of 2007's most intriguing and idea-packed books, "Brave New War: The Next Stage of Terrorism and the End of Globalization," published by John Wiley and Sons.
The books is full of valuable observations about the geopolitical state of the world and its future. Robb made money in the business world as a software entrepreneur. He started his career, though, as an intelligence analyst with a special focus on how systems work… their strengths and weaknesses… and the challenge that small, networked groups of "non-state actors" may pose to the traditional Nation State in the immediate future.
Robb keeps a blog if you're interested in learning more about fourth generation warfare and its affect on your investments. In the interview, I asked Robb about the world's financial system and whether the world he envisions means a contraction in global trade.
The entire interview lasts about 15 minutes. Listen to the whole interview with John Robb here.

Hi
Great interview with John Robb-will look out for his book.
One book that discusses the changing nature of warfare is "Transformation of War" by the historian Martin Van Crevald. It may be a more appropriate for todays' environment than Clausewitz's "On War".
Keep up the good work.
Cheers
