Are you really trying to blame this abberration of regulations, incentives, insanely complex tax codes, multi-million dollar lobbying, artificial interest rates, money printing, and price controls on Capitalism?!? Really?

One has to ask whether all those fees and generous remuneration packages paid out by these financial institutions (normally to the people making the decisions) was warranted.
The true excesses of capitalism have exposed the need for socialism to curb its appetite.
Just as socialism needs capitalists for the motivation to get things done.
Oh why do we constantly bounce from extreme to extreme, surely regulation was supposed to be the preventor of these fundamental swings.
Perhaps U.S politics is going to be as equally damaged by this affair as much as naked capitalism.

You'd think that the US taxpayer - the ordinary US citizen who pays his taxes but doesn't play the markets, would be up in arms against the taxpayer-funded mega welfare for banks being dispensed by the US government. And this weekend the US Feds are working on a scheme to hike the level of corporate welfare.
