I want to work harder, but a libertarian scholar has a hard time getting a job in the U.S.

"And what of the Internet? It was supposed to allow us to stay at home and work."

I think you will find the problem lies with hard assed, inflexible baby boomer employers as to why more people don't work from home.

I would be perfectly capable of doing my job from home 2-3 days a week, thereby ensuring I don't need to cram myself into an overpriced and overcrowded public transport system twice a day.

Try explaining that to my 55 year old boss though. The horror that went across his face when I suggested it had to be seen to be believed !!.

Imagine it, he would have no direct control over my actions from 9-5 !!.

Get with the times you cranky, power hungry old mofos !!.

happy northern winter solstice.

ken baldwin over at AIP needs an earful. science is totalitarian it's not like a democrap vote where flunkies get to stack the deck in some fascist corporat economy to make a quick buck for some stupid lazy company arses.

*****************************

personally i avoid booze since new hampshire has a serious
problem with it... it's very ugly actually, with 75% of the adult population bordering on potential problems with the LAW.

and an additional 10% or more in the drug underground.

talk about how bad your life sucks. i'm tired of dealing with people who abuse themselves and have no self-control. the emotional suffering i endure here is enourmous.

thankfully, we've had an early snow this winter which hopefully means no superbug outbreak in new england like last winter....

***************************
punt on the 3rd down !!!

the democratic machine is winding up to stuff the primary for a no good thieving carpet muncher with no backbone and a PR firm doing the old "tell 'em the least offensive position" based on the latest poll.

the ex-ruling party is too dirty to come up with anything other than useless flip floppers.

the third party idiot, Mayo Bumburg thinks he can buy the white house, which would cost a considerable forture. not much of a legitimate businessman.

since the medicare field cost cuttting is aready dampning the health insurance industry and the pharma industries....i can hardly doubt that the war economy can do anything but retrogear us into an hyperinflationary depression.

I think we may have shared an Aer Arann flight a couple of weeks ago. I'm on it every friday night and monday morning. I enjoy reading the site greatly. If you are ever at a loose end in Waterford, pints in Jack Meads would be my recommedation.
