Fidel Castro has resigned from his position as Cuba's unelected communist dictator. Good riddance.
News reports say is brother Raul Castro may take over. Who knew there was room for nepotism in Marxism/Lennism/Fidelism? Whatever happened to "From each according to his ability to each according to his need?" Who knows, maybe the Castro brothers are especially good at jailing and executing political opponents in the name of the "greater good."
Not that Cuba is alone in succumbing to dynastic family politics. Look at America. It's had twenty years of Bushs and Clintons, with a chance of more on the way. Still, we aren't sorry to see Fidel Castro go. We're just sorry it's taken so long.
It seems unfair the dictators with a flair for murdering those who oppose them seem to live long, rich, full lives. It also a notable exception to Bill's Law of Perverse Outcomes, that people get what they deserve, not what they expect. Surely Fidel Castro, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Pinochet deserved worse than they got. Only Che and Nikolai Ceaucescu got what they really deserved.

hey! who are the real "commies" ?
we've had enuf 'socialism for the rich' here in the USA.
when will it end ? when will the great crash hit ?
but what is the real history of the fake crash of '29 ?
the rich stole all the money and impoverished the nation,
and had the audacity to confiscate the people's gold and
eventually their silver coins.
bring back the GOLD and SILVER standard. SAVE THE WORLD.

There seems to be some confusion as to which which country is worse Cuba or USA. Has anyone calculated the numbers of people escaping off the coast of Florida trying to enter Cuba and Vise versa.

...when the castros finally extinguish...will cuban americans wait for the waters of the atlantic to part so as to allow them to walk across the sea bed back to cuba...
