That was a Loong article on DEflation, WITHOUT even Mentioning
JAPAN.
1. Deflation IS contraction of the Money supply, INflation is Increasing the Money supply.

Japan never got out of their Debt Buble, and they fueled the YEN carry trade to indebt the rest of the world at 1-2-3%, but now the YEN is rising, since all other Countries are lowering their Interest rates.

The whole world economy has gone in VOODOO mode.....up is Down
Us Dollar is Up.

IN fact, the world is ALREADY BANKRUPT, but nobody will admit it.

Place your bets.....Coins,Bars or Cans

Deflation is here. The pain will get worse. It will not stop until the debts are liquidated. The govt is doing the wrong thing, they are making the deflation worse by creating more debt! Gold and precious will not do well in fiat terms. How much debt liquidation can the people stand before they rise. If the politicians/bankers panic in front of the mobs they may change the currency or reprice gold in the many thousands to liquidate the debts.

I can hardly wait for deflation, but will it come? Will, with housing prices falling and consumers unable to spend like they did, it appears the aggregate demand must decrease for some time to come. That could lead to deflation, but suppose that in addition we add unemployment, growing unemployment, Panic, a few rate cuts by the Fed and god knows what from Congress. Now that is what could lead to deflation quickly, and probably the little cheapy unemployment payments and much sympathy from Nancy P and Congress (where deflation is not tolerated). Still, alas nothing works, aggregate demand increases. So maybe WPA public projects, you know, public pools, trees and roads etc. But what really works is a war (we know this but it is like incest - not widely discussed). So I think we know how to cope, but we just have no taste for doing so. I think deflation is likely given current, but, alternatively ran away inflation is possible, if we print our way out of this credit problem. You choose, but please no belly aching, life is full of hard choices. A member of the Hidden Aristocracy.

Deflation rocks.

Deflation happens when folks awaken to the truth about their crazy binge.

In short order, folks come to see that the bed they sleep in is worth most and that all the other beds they own in other houses aren't worth that much to them.

Richard Russell says "...if you have $5 million [at] 2% ... interest, ...that’s ...an income of $100,000."

Great! As prices plummet, your buying power of that $100,000 goes up. You'll be living larger on the same $100,000.

Deflation is the greatest gift in the world to the working man who has been scammed for decades by the Inflationistas -- the Central Bankers, the Hidden Aristocracy, and the Stock Exchange Casino operators.
