How to Contribute to Relief Efforts in Queensland

Reddit

Dear Reader,

It’s business as usual in the financial markets around the world. But life is anything but usual for the hundreds of thousands of people affected by the flooding in Queensland and all around Australia. On behalf of all of us here at the Daily Reckoning, I’d like to extend our thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by the flood as the recovery and clean up begins.

We’ll get back to our normal publishing schedule next week with a regular edition of the weekend Daily Reckoning. In the meantime, if you’re interested in contributing to the relief effort but aren’t sure how, we recommend making a donation to the Australian Red Cross. The Red Cross does relief work all over Australia and all over the world.

Regards,

Dan Denning
Editor, the Daily Reckoning Australia

“My mum has six rental houses and they’re all ruined,” Ms Smith said. Ms Smith said her mother owned five other properties in Goodna which she rented out – all of them had gone under in the flood last week. “You might say ‘oh she’s got six rental properties, she must be rich’, but she’s not – she has mortgages on all of them and relies on the rent to help pay. “How will she pay for them now? http://www.smh.com.au/environment/weather/brisbane-landlords-face-further-disaster-20110117-19ssd.html Well well, greed knows no bounds for these highly neg-geared baby boomer generational tapeworm. Six in Goodna! Anywhere else luv?… Read more »

Hey bi_ker peat, where’s ya bumchum/sidekick Ned S?

Reply to the deviant AH blocked, too…

We can assume that DRA is not permitting effective responses.
Why protect this AH unless he’s a colleague?

Do the words Ram; Rat; Urea mean anything to you NV? :D

I can not see DRA blocking your posts Biker, exception being you are putting links to other sites that DRA don’t allow..

More than 1 link leads to “moderation” as you know, however some specific websites can also be on a “block” list, not you personally otherwise you could not post at all.

Biker Pete

None of the responses had links, Shoes.

They were simply very effective responses to weak claims by the Not Fool Punter of Mindarie.

These three-liners are allowed through. I now copy before posting, as any effective response is _generally_ blocked. I now take it as a compliment.

Bumchum indeed! :D

Hey NV ya faggot (being an old English word for sticks of wood once bound together to be burned as they are fit for no more useful purpose ;)), have you managed to rehab Daddy out of that Amsterdam park yet?

Dutchies in ditchies indeed!!! :)

He was onto the QLD disasters with as much haste and excitement as a rat down a drainpipe, Ned. Don’t get much more bottom-feeding than that… .

Here’s the _real_ link, Shoes.

At the base of most PerthNow property reports, where N Fool Punter enjoys multiple consecutive posts, we read:

Free Report Shows You Why You Need to Take Evasive Action Now

The censorship remains a puzzle. Port Phillip Publishing permitted the posting of the most racist, anti-Semetism I’ve ever read online recently… .

Difficult to say how it will all impact Brissie prices Biker? Some seem to think that overall they could spike due to a shortage? Though personally I tend to feel it will add more to rental prices increases than to the median house price as such. I’d certainly expect the stuff that’s in flood to soften – A lot even? (And if a bloke has a reasonable understanding of the game, there just could be some excellent buying opportunities come up!) And, IMO, it should help hold up the prices of stuff that isn’t in flood. Though I’m not personally… Read more »

Well, they’re predicting rents will be up… and there’ll be a major rise in construction, but at what terrible cost, mate.

I see it’s flushed a sewer rat or two, anyway.

Ned S
Guest

“there’ll be a major rise in construction” – Yeah, back to that ‘broken window’ hypothesis that gets discussed on DRA periodically Biker. Doesn’t seem like an especially great way to increase one’s GDP to me either? :(

Biker Pete
Guest

It’s not.

Skayce calls it ‘war-nomics’… possibly a steal from WarCraft(?) :D

Given that flooding has occurred, I guess that you’ve got to try to see a silver lining in it somewhere. Employment up? Tax receipts up? Vermin destruction? Perhaps even some critical infrastructure spending to reduce the damage next time. Stimulus!~ :D :D :D (Just windin’ ’em up… .)

Sure, there will be immense insurance lo$$es. Down the track I imagine more will insure than previously. Hard to imagine why that landlady wasn’t covered… .

The only bottom-feeding goin on I can see is by you bi_ker peat and the doughnut you punch Ned S and of course Ms Smith’s poor mum.

Oh and funny how the glutenous pigs of the current queenz_land gov are touting 30 billion as the cost to rebuild after a minor flood. 30 bill just happens to be the amount to run glutenous state for a year. Heaven help them when their bonds mature in 2013, we may see pigs fly.

Biker Pete

Not all the slime left after the flood will be in QLD, Slimer Envy.
Take your meds and coagulate, OK?

nv
Guest

Wrong again bi_ker peat, the slime has built up over decades due to damming and aint going anywhere as slime resides with slime.

The orchestrated flooding of the brisbane by the reprobate government is just that, an orchestrated flood. They could have stag released excess water in the weeks prior, but no, floodgates were deliberately opened to the max to create what we all witnessed making sure the 1974 mark was one metre short.

The miscreants are now setting up an inquiry to cover their dirty deeds, make it look like they’re doin’ good for the sheep ya know.

Biker Pete

Your life sounded pretty miserable _before_ the flood, Slimer Envy.
Usually I’m more empathetic, but you loudly wallow in your misfortune.

It’s always interesting to contemplate the depth of misery it must take to post one’s continual distress online, swinging out at other generations, governments, investors, all and sundry in fact.

Clearly the medication you’re taking (if you’re taking it) isn’t working.
Get to a specialist fast.* Sounds like your brain is haemorrhaging… .

* I’d suggest a proctologist

nv
Guest

Just because I call a spade a spade does not make me miserable.

I suggest you and ya sidekick Ned S line up at the gates of the Wivenhoe Dam for an enema. You are both so full of it you sure_as need it.

Don’t address qld’s fiscal situation. Ssshhhh!

Biker I don’t see what is wrong with him doing this because after all they are the root of the problem

Biker Pete
Guest

Yep, everyone else is the root of ‘the problem’. You’re Kangaroo Edward.
Other than bleating our woes, we’re powerless pawns, lifelong victims of a
conspiracy against us.

Are there any two more miserable sycophants on the planet?
Yer mate Steve is cast in the same mould, Envy.

Simply remedy Steve may assist you with, son.
Take a large QLD frond and insert it.
With fronds like these, who needs enemas?

nv
Guest

The “other generations, governments, investors” are not the ‘root’ of the problem Steve, they are the cause and the effect of the problem.

To find the ‘root’ of the problem one must follow the umbilical cord some 20+thousand klm’s away. A long and well kept secret.

Biker Pete

If he experienced difficulty understanding Smallcap’s comment,
I doubt he’ll begin to comprehend your motherhood reference to CloudCuckooLand, Envy. ;)

“A long and well kept secret” (?)

Leave the closet. Find this poor soul and rescue him from his 26-year prison!
He’s ricocheting off the bedroom walls, for CS. :D

Hey Farmer Pete … You ever spend any time on the Farm of yours?

You know farmer stuff / spraying / ploughing / milking

ANGRY Little Man Syndrome I think they call your problem?

You appear to be on here 24/7?

You do not qualify for participation at my level bi_ker peat.

Quite simply, you are a spruiker and spout diarrhetic diatribe of epic proportions.

Biker Pete

Yes, unlike your multiple-posting, multiple-personalitied existence, I DO have a life, N Fool Punter of Mindarie.

I’m online a great deal, managing property, when we’re not travelling.
Refereeing a little bidding war at present. It’s a long time since
we’ve had two buyers actively competing for the same property.

Angry? I’m delighted with our lot in life… and amused by your antics. :D

Not Fooled By Property Spruikers Hype

“ANGRY Little Man Syndrome”. ANGRY SHORT Little Man Syndrome more like it.

Bi_ker peat and his bumchum/sidekick Ned S have a cubicle each where they headbang keyboards spouting drivel to make their keep.

I pity them and nay, they’ve never worked a day in their lives. No farms, no digging trenches, no multiple investments (they wish), no children with multi-million dollar waterfront apartments, never traveled because travelling requires a passport which they do not possess.

Bi_ker peat and his bumchum cum sidekick Ned S are just a couple of short, baby-boomer generational tapeworm_AH’s that spruik for crumbs.

Biker Pete

Now _that’s_ a rant from a happy soul!~ ;)

More amusing by-the-minute, Prozak… . :D

“team tagging”? – pots and kettles comes to mind.

Biker’s training would be fun to watch though – NO!!! Nurse trainee Biker … I said attach the electrodes to his TEMPLES; NOT his testicles! :)
