I have an idea to fix the financial crises and its so easy I cant believe the US has not thought of it yet. I've done some research and found out that the board game Monopoly is one of the most popular games ever. Its been selling since 1935. I would make a guess and say there are hundreds of millions of board games out there around the world meaning probably a trillion or so Monopoly dollars out there in peoples homes.

We should use this money to bail out the financial system, Yes everyone should go running out of their homes waving monopoly money and use this to deposit into banks and buy Ipods, Tv's, cars, jewellery etc.

And it isn't that dumb an idea, why? because if you know something about economics then the more of something there is the less valuable it becomes, therefore;
a) monopoly money has a scarcity value, there's less of it than US dollars and therefore should be worth more
b) people are familiar with monopoly money and have been using it to buy houses, land, utilities etc for decades, albeit on a board.
c) the US don't need to waste time and money printing more worthless paper, monopoly money is already out there
d) everyone can at least have fun running around creating money out of thin air, buying up properties putting houses on them and trying to make their fellow neighbour bankrupt instead of just letting Wall Street geniuses do it.

Hey they should at least give it a try and if it doesn't work we will be no worst off!
