Though the population is mind-boggling,quality customers who have manoy power are less in India.

India has a long way to go..........

But........in recent days,Indians are becoming more entertainment-oriented,which may have a bitter effect in the long run...

Indian market and Sensex is shooting up because of the listed companies' past efforts...Now, "THE EAZY MONEY FEVER" is fast catching up....

Yes.........As an Indian I'm very sorry to say that India's long term growth would be capped due to these factors like what I mentioned....

Economically India has become stronger...BUT,fundamentally it is losing the SHEEN...

Another CRASH in the MARKETS...NOT RULED OUT....

In the current situation there is a shortage in a few more areas than just hotels ,primarily "funds/investments".Although there is a huge flow of investments from outside and within the country ,these investments are not distributed in all channels , thereby leaving many other industries stranded behind. But Real Estate has been on the high for a a while now , and seems to be the investors favorite, and will be for years to come.

I just got back from India as well. There is no shortage of crap hotels, there is only a shortage of 4 and 5 star hotels. You can easily find a hotel for under $30 a night just about everywhere in India. I was invested in India earlier in the year, now that I have actually been there, I would NEVER invest in India. It barely functions as a country...
