		<description>Sure, it&#039;s a possibility...and those banks that helped fund the record M&amp;A activity in gold mining last year ($17bn on Merrill Lynch&#039;s reckoning) might be wondering why there&#039;s still no &quot;elephant finds&quot; and why the majors are struggling to thrive despite the current high gold prices.

That said, if gold&#039;s where the money is, then that&#039;s where the bankers will put their money. In due course, however. Greed has to overcome fear first. And that might take a while!</description>
