A loaf of bread? A savings account? If the FED does not stop the decline in real estate prices, we will all have nothing! The average Americans' net worth is all about real estate. I don't know anyone who has a savings account. We all have homes. We own a small piece of America. Who cares how much a loaf of bread is. When my house drops 10% in value, 30% of net worth is destroyed. Since very few of us are international investors, i could care less about the value of the dollar. What are you talking about? You saved the butts of your rich friends, but today, my loaf of bread was up a dollar and the bank sent me an urgent letter informing me that they'd lowered my interest rate on savings by your 1/2 a percentage point: prices up, value of dollar down for us po' folk, and the rich get richer.
