Ron Paul for president! He is the only one that can lead the country. Obama will get votes b/c he is black, Hillary b/c she is female, not because they do the job right.

John Hunter, why are you comparing Romney to Bush? Bush is not running for president.
Ron Paul is educated, he's honest, and thoughtful, and he has convictions that stem from the Constitution. Romney, Mccain, Hillary, Obama, they're really not too far apart on the big issue - how big, powerful, and intrusive should our federal government be? Absolute power corrupts absolutely, and we are headed down that road.

Ron Paul is a good man, no doubt, & yet he seems to attract people w/ the attitude, "we're going to start a revolution, if we don't win 2008." He held a rah-rah meeting in our town. A large % of attendees were a hippie-like, uneducated group. They seem to be looking for someone else to solve their problems. I don't understand it. America was built on individual honesty, industry, education, refinement, & sacrifice; not a locker-room mentality that wants to start an internal war if their hero doesn't get his way. There's a sense of underlying anger there.(I have sensed "threat" on blogs, too & I don't like it) Mitt Romney, is an honest, optimistic, modest man. He is gaining the attention of some of brightest, & wealthiest of the country. They fly out to meet him, to listen, to learn. They come to like what they see. Mitt has a "turn things around" attitude. He "turns around" businesses & once profitable, keeps or sells them. He does this repeatedly. On a grander scale, he "turned around" the SLC Olympics. He "turned things around" in Michigan. He's been "turning things around" for decades & loves to do that, but also involves others in the process. He can do good things for America, maybe not all it needs--as experts suggest 20 yrs to correct a lot of US problems using well-established political processes. No man in US history has had quite the experience Mitt Romney would come to office with. At least, for starters he is educated. George Bush is a bit embarrassing, with his lack of education & laziness,(I know he has been through school)but lazy speech is a sign of a lazy mind. Lazy minds, even with degrees, make careless mistakes. They habitually ignore details & pay others to cover & fix their mistakes. This cardinal rule you will rarely see broken. For instance, I never work with any attorney who makes obvious grammatical errors--very dangerous! The same follows w/ medical doctors--be careful if they slaughter the language. If they have poor language skills, you can bet they have poor habits in every arena. Bush has some heart, but a wise professor once remarked, "A double dosage of enthusiasm doth not all problems solve." Sooner or later a person must solve the real problem. George seems to have been an avoider, always thinking he could just "get around" that one, & move on with life. But, it doesn't work that way. Mitt Romney has a record of being "a problem solver"--& of getting others involved. That's what I want. Ron has the "I am the hope of America," attitude, (insinuating America is hopeless & Ron Paul is going to singlehandedly bring it hope. I don't believe it is, nor do I believe he can). Whereas Mitt Romney projects a "we're going to get moving in the right direction together, all of us, not just 'Me Mitt.'" He presents the image that it's going to take work, but it will be fun to see what emerges as we unitedly participate. We can't predict all the good that will come, but clearly, GOOD THINGS WILL HAPPEN. This is something to anticipate, to smile about, to look forward to. That's what I want; that is what America wants. Do you sense the subtlety there? The concern I have is that Ron Paul doesn't detect this subtlety himself, although it's very real, isn't it?

People are underestimating Ron. His niche on the internet is not a niche at all, it's the most powerful weapon in the world.

RP has won. His victory was a manifestation of the gradual build up of intellectual and survival consciousness of Americans. Which was the true inception point for the USA reversing its course of destruction. We are now moving towards a new civilization. Corruption and stupidity is being ousted. You get what you focus on. Drop the pessimism. Donate, vote, inform others, write your representatives, use RP bumper stickers and lawn signs... do your part as if it is all up to you... and the magic will happen. It has happened.

I don't know whom to believe on the poll standings. I recently and went to the GOP website to try and put in a vote to be counted in their polls, and Ron Paul was not even listed!!! I am beginning to feel like every media outlet's deck is stacked to make an RP victory seem as unlikely as possible.

At the same time his campaign is making 100k a day (I've been tracking it), support is overwhelming for him online, and there are 211 million Americans online as of June 2007.

Get off line and campaign people! Get signs on your cars, hand out fliers and talk to your friends. There is plenty of reason for optimism!

My name is Jeremy. I am a 30 yo. gay man who served 5 years in the NAVY. I consider myself to be a moderate on most issues, but I really do not agree with the DoD's DADT policy. With that said however, I too am fully supporting Ron Paul. On his google interview, he fully explaind his position on DADT, and while he isn't fully for it's elimination, he did clarify his reasoning. But our county is in a world of trouble, and Ron Paul is the only person speaking the truth. The U.S.A. is leveraged to over %300 of it's GDP, and the Federal Reserve just keeps putting more worthless money into circulation to hold of the inevitable collapse. Then What? Without our rights and with the National I.D. Card, we will be nothing but surfs to the ultra rich. Ron Paul may not personally agree with gay people and our lives, but he believes in an individuals right to choose what is best for them. I don't believe Ron Paul will strip gay people of equal rights and protections from employement and housing, and I really wish more of my gay friends could see themselves as something other than just gay. They want Hilary or Obama, simply because of the gay issues. However, I feel there is more at stake right now, and that is why I am registering as a Republican (it's only a stupid lable) and I AM VOTING FOR RON PAUL!!!!!

Why can't Ron get elected by being honest and caring about this country? Isn't that our ultimate goal? People don't realize the seriousness of our country's crisis'! I truly believe he is our last hope and I know there are tons of others who think the same thing. We just can't keep going to war with every country to help their government. We are already trillions of dollars in debt. I believe ron paul knows exactly what needs to be done and I have complete faith in him to do it. If we don't take him seriously than there is no hope for our country.
