I believe the stock market is like an elevator and not an escalator. It gives ample opportunity to the entry level investor at least once a decade. So every generation of investors gets a couple of chances to make some real wealth. If someone in a lift does not get off at the top floor they should wait till the next time. Rip Van Winkles can keep wailing that 12 years of gains have been wiped out. Time in the market is of great importance just like time in the classroom but passing out and moving to the next class is also important.
It is admission time and I hope to see the next batch of slumdogs get into the lift to graduate as millionaires in a few years.
