But still we hear nothing about what is to happen to those who wrote and profited by the 'fire code', those who applied the 'fire code' for their own corrupt purposes and those who knew that the 'fire code' was, and is, manifestly inadequate to protect but turned a blind eye because of self interest.

We do not need to fix the 'fire code' we need to throw it out lock,stock and barrel together with all those who used a system they were well aware could not be right.

It is, perhaps, going too far to say that inside every high flying banker and financier there is a Bernie Maddoff, but it is not too much to suggest the possibility that there may be.
