Yeah it's pretty temping these days. You walk into any retail shop and the sales are screaming 50% -75% off, I've been quite tempted to think well that's so cheap I may as well buy one. Ebay is doing a good trade these days so much stuff and still quite a few people in Australia want to pay for more crap. I must admit I bought a few books recently for $6 at Dymocks. I mean $6 I can't even remember the last time books were that cheap!

I managed to flip the situation, and instead of going on a huge spending spree (well I did have a short holiday but it's wasn't too XX) I'm selling crap that's been sitting in my cupboard for ages instead..while there are still buyers around.

House prices in Northern NSW are just starting to come down, so I'll give it another 12 months and take stock, heck might be able to buy a house outright if the housing market loses 75% in Australia!

And Australians fiddle while the rest of the world burns (in the manner Bill depicts). First home buyers seeking a life of debt serviture along with the risk of going upside down on this debt are out there as I type. And they're still shopping.

Actually I don't blame them. I've been doing a bit of spending myself though not on heavily overpriced real estate.
