It look like human race and modern civilization have not been able to overcome the natural selection,
the greatest force modeling the living world. The Information Age have not changed this.

No matter how much we improve personally and as society,
we continue to be subject to natural selection and there is nothing to save us from it.
Financial and Genetic Engineering do not change this, as key question still remains: “Who does the selection?”
After 2000 years of denial and lying to ourselves, the great natural selection is coming.
This would be a nature’s way of balancing our civilization with the laws of multi-verse.

Solution will be to accept natural selection not only in business, but also in life.
This would probably give birth to new religion, as values in the old ones would not hold.
Transition will take long time and will be tragic for the world as we know it.
Progress and balance will be reward for those who survive.

Although above currently sounds gloomy for over-populated humans,
I have high faith in god’s universe and it’s ability to create new life and self-ordering intelligent flow of energy.
We just need an additional selection to evolve in order to better understand world around us.

Sorry but you're mistaken about Levitt and Sons. The company was offloaded by the Levitt family in 1968 to International Telephone and Telegraph and the latest version that has just gone down the tube was the child of BankAtlantic Bancorp who purchased the company in 1999. A name was purchased, that’s all. There’s really no remnant of the old Levitt. None of the family.

However, can you or anyone out there explain how it is possible for the market to drop 250 points and yet the financial co's responsible for the demise with write downs and huge exposure all gain in tandem?

Much appreciated.
