Announcement: Welcoming in the Holidays With a Beer
Are they any DR readers in and around Melbourne interested in having a drink? During our first year at the Old Hat Factory, we held a very casual reception at a cafe near buy to celebrate the holidays and knock back a few beers with readers. Last year we did something more formal.
This year, if you're interested, we thought of reverting to the casual drinks and toasting to the end of the world as we know it in early December. It would be in Melbourne, somewhere downtown by the water, on Tuesday, December 9th. We'll go ahead and book a function room, provided there's enough interest. RSVP to dr@dailyreckoning.com

Although i don't drink beer (can't stand bubbles, even in my drinks, except champagne)and i might be too impecunious to purchase a bottle a bottle of (good) wine, i would be delighted to toast the coming new year among DR readers.
