What does Aurizon Holdings Ltd do?

Aurizon Holdings Ltd [ASX:AZJ] is Australia’s largest rail freight operator, transporting more than 250 million tonnes of Australian commodities and connecting miners, primary producers, and industry with international and domestic markets.

The company also provides a range of services in rail design, engineering, construction, management and maintenance, and offers supply chain solutions to a range of customers in Australia.

That’s interesting, but what is the chart telling us?

What is the chart telling you?

The share price was up today in early trading, taking the company briefly into all-time highs. A decisive break upwards might suggest freight volumes are increasing.

What now for AZJ shares?

We just have to wait and see if a decisive break will occur. If that should happen, it would then suggest freight volumes are increasing and would also give us an indication of commodities demand.

If you don’t already, you should start to read the economy through the charts. Go here to find out more. You owe it to yourself to obtain this knowledge. You remain at a substantial investment disadvantage without it.
